Settlement Information Last Updated on June 27, 2008.

On August 8, 2007, an appeal was filed with the Appellate Division of New York Supreme Court, which challenges the final approval of the settlement. On February 5th, 2008 the Court denied the objector’s appeal. The objector sought further review; however on June 3rd, 2008 the motion for further review was denied. We expect benefits will begin mailing in early fall of 2008.

A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit about certain Microsoft software acquired by consumers and businesses from and including May 18, 1994 through December 31, 2004 for use in New York. People and businesses that are covered by the settlement can get vouchers that may be redeemed for cash after buying eligible computer products. If you or your business is covered by the settlement, you can get more information, send in a claim form to get vouchers, request exclusion or object to the settlement. The deadline for filing your claim online is December 31, 2006; if you mail your claim it must be postmarked on or before January 3, 2007.
